Pharmacological properties
Pharmacotherapeutic group:Alimentary tract and metabolism,seleniumcombinations.
INDICATIONS
In foals,calves,lambs,prevention and treatment of selenium and vitamin E deficiencies:
- Myopathies
- Musculardystrophies.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not administer to adult horses.

Special precautions for use in animals
Due to the toxicity of selenium , the doses and delays mentioned in the section “Dosage and administration” should be respected .The injections should be performed under rigorous asepsis.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals.
In the case of accidental self-injection,seek medical advice immediately
And show the package leaflet to the physician.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The safety of this medicinal product has not been studied during pregnancy . However, its use during pregnancy does not seem to pose any particular problem.
Interaction with other medicaments and other forms of interaction
No known interaction.
Overdose
Overdose of selenium may induce fast and thread pulse ,dyspnea, colic, polyuria, cyanosis , prostration, depression and ataxia. Incase of overdose, administer symptomatic treatment associated to a correct hydration (infusionor ad libitum watering).
ADVERSEREACTIONS
Inflammatory reaction at the injection site may occur in very rare cases. Reactions such as anaphylactic shock with cardiovascular disorders, prostration, coma possibly leading to the death of the animal have also been observed in very rare cases.

Dosage and Instructions
For deep and strictI .M. route. Prevention (only one administration ) : Calves, foals:1.5mlper10kg of body weight until100kg, 1mlper10Kg above 100kg of body weight. ( refer below : special warnings) . Lambs:0.2ml per kg of body weight.
Therapy: The same dosage as above, repeating injections at 2 or 3 week-intervals if necessary.
Shake well before use.
Cow
Calf
1.5 ml per 10kg of body weight until 100kg, 1ml per 10Kg above 100kg of body weight.
Horse
10 to 20 ml intravenous or intramuscular injection per day every 2 to 3 days
Foal
1.5 ml per 10kg of body weight until 100kg, 1ml per 10Kg above 100kg of body weight.
sheep
0.2ml per kg of body weight.
