PHARMACOKINETIC PARTICULARS
Rapid diffusion of sulpha methoxy pyridazine results in high concentrations in the blood and tissues. Elimination is slow due to an extended half-life.
Trimethoprim is absorbed very quickly from the gastrointestinal tract. Plasma protein binding varies slightly depending on species but for all diffusion is significant andrapid. Trimethoprim is eliminated mainly in the urine,either in an unchanged form or in the form of metabolites.

Characteristics
INDICATIONS
Infections sensitive to the combination of Trimethoprim and Sulfamethoxypyridazine in cattle and sheep.
Treatment of respiratory, gastrointestinal and urinary infections caused by bacteria sensitive to Sulphamethoxypyridazine and trimethoprim.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not use in the following cases: Animals with severe renal or hepatic failure.
Dehydration.
Pregnancy.
Newborns.
Hypersensitivity to one of the active ingredients or one of the excipients.
Do not use in horses.
SIDE-EFFECTS
If treatment is prolonged , the synthesis of thyroid hormones may be inhibited.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Do not mix SEPTOTRYL® with other drugs in the same syringe.
Inject slowly without mixing blood in the syringe containing SEPTOTRYL®.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Shelf-life after first opening : 28days .Do not store above25°C.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
WITHDRAWAL TIMES
Meat and offals : 12days.
Milk: 6days (12milkings).
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCT OR WASTE MATERIALS DERIVED FROM THE USE OF SUCH PRODUCTS
Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from such veterinary medicinal products should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.

Slow I.V. ,I.M. ,S.C. administration – 13.4 mg sulpha methoxy pyridazine and 2.7 mg trimethoprim per kg b.w. per day by slow I.V. or I.M. route,i.e.1 ml/15kg b.w.
